India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is currently featured in the third Test match against New Zealand where he is the pick of the bowlers by taking a five-wicket haul in the final Test at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Jadeja picked up Will Young, Tom Blundell (wk), Glenn Phillips, Ish Sodhi, and Matt Henry. Apart from Jadeja, Washinton Sundar got four scalps and Akash Deep got one. It was Akash Deep who managed to get first breakthrough for India by picking Devon Conway in the first session.
With his five-wicket haul against New Zealand Jadeja picked up his 312th wicket and that helped him to come in the tally of top five wicket-takers for India in Tests. Former India star Anil Kumble tops the tally with 619 wickets, and Ravichandran Ashwin comes second with 533 wickets. Kapil Dev and Harbhajan Singh also come in the tally with 434 and 417 wickets respectively in the longest format of the game.
Ravindra Jadeja (312* wickets) surpasses Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma (311 wickets each) to break into the top five wicket-takers for India in Tests.
