Henry completes 100 Test wickets

In his 26th game, Matt Henry reached the hundred wickets milestone, tying for the second-fastest bowler in New Zealand history to reach his milestone. Neil Wagner also took 26 Tests to reach 100 wickets, while legendary Richard Hadlee tops the list as he achieved this epic feat in just 25 Tests. Matt Henry achieved the fourth-best bowling figure of any New Zealand bowler in India with 5/15 in the opening innings.

The pacer has been outstanding for New Zealand and it was once again visible as he took five wickets. Throughout his whole career, even in instances where he was overmatched and Tim Southee, Trent Boult, and Neil Wagner held the top slots in the starting lineup. He persevered and now also has a fifer against India in India.

With the aid of an outstanding catch by Devon Conway, Matt Henry removed Sarfaraz Khan, leaving India at 10/3. Along with tidying up India's tail, he also got a go of the hosts' leading scorer, Rishabh Pant, for 20. India, meanwhile, had a forgetful game, recording their third-lowest total ever in the format. For the first time in a home Test match, four of the top seven Indian batsmen were dismissed for a duck.
