India registered a 372- run win over New Zealand in the second Test match in Mumbai and this emphatic victory helped India to clinch the top spot in ICC Test rankings. India sealed the two-match series 1-0 on Monday and are currently at third position on World Test Championship (WTC) table. In Mumbai Test, spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel dismantled the New Zealand batsmen with their variations. The Kiwi batters seemed clueless in front of the Indian spinners as the Blackcaps were bundled out for 62 and 167 runs in both innings of the match.

India dethroned the reigning World Test champions from the number one spot after winning the second Test. India currently have 124 rating points surpassing New Zealand's tally of 121.
