Ex-PCB chief slams management after series loss.

Babar Azam and Co are set to compete in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ramiz Raja was extremely unhappy after the Babar Azam-led side's disappointing loss against England in the fourth T20I of the four-match series at the Kennington Oval in London, on May 30 (Thursday). He slammed the management for ruining the team and its performance ahead of the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 which will be held in the United States and West Indies.

The PAK side got bowled out on just 157 runs despite a good start from the top order but after a couple of wickets, the visitors' middle order completely collapsed, and from 83/3 they went 157/7. England comfortably chased down the target in just 15.3 overs.

"They should stop experimenting with the team. Go into a game with a proper combination. You need to get out of the phobia of strike rate because you don't have that kind of players. Aapne is team ka satyanash kar diya hai (You have completely made a cock-up of this team)," Ramiz said on his YouTube channel.

"You have ruined the team by breaking the opening pair (of Babar and Rizwan). The role of the middle order is not defined. You have put all-rounders in the middle and two wicket-keepers are playing. You are changing the fast bowlers. Your spinners don't spin the ball and don't have the confidence. You put Imad Wasim out of the playing XI. There is no sideways movement and you have completely dismantled the team just before the T20 World Cup," he added.

"First six overs, we played very well. After that, the momentum shifted as wickets fell. Our middle-order needs to step up. You need 2-3 good overs in the middle and in the death as well. England's bowling was very good. Hopefully, we don't do this in the World Cup. We made a couple of changes due to the injuries. Our powerplay was good. We have played good cricket in patches," said Babar Azam in the post-match presentation.

The Men in Green side left for the USA from London itself after a 2-0 series loss against England. The team would now try to keep all the setbacks in the past and perform at their full potential.
