Some of high-profile Indian batters including big-wigs Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have gone through a hard time as far as their form in Tests is concerned.

The just-concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy witnessed Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's form slump which saw the former scoring 31 runs in 5 innings, while the latter could score just 190 runs in 9 innings. But there are few more batters whose performances have seen a certain decline. Let's have a look at the list:

Ajinkya Rahane's crisis time came between 2017 and 2023. Rahane was averaging around 47.81 before hitting the lean patch. But during the rut, his batting average came down to 38.46.

Virat Kohli's tough phase is still on from 2020 in Tests. Kohli boasted an incredible batting average of 54.97 but during the lean patch it plummeted to 46.85.

Cheteshwar Pujara's lean patch came from 2019 to 2023. Before hitting this phase, Cheteshwar Pujara was averaging around 51.18 but the lean patch brought it all down to 43.6.
