Michael Vaughan will be probably best remembered as the English skipper who won the Ashes for his country after 18 years. With a mature head on his shoulders and a ruthless attitude, Vaughan led England to new heights in Test cricket.

The Yorkshire born has splendid batting technique and is an excellent hooker and cutter of the cricket ball. Predominantly a backfoot player, Vaughan has the knack to build big innings with his calm and composed batting élan. His fielding is not as good as his batting as the Englishman has often come under criticism.
In 2007, he quit captaincy in the limited-over cricket and eventually lost place in the ODI side. Vaughan is one of the top ranked batsmen in England line-up today. The English team looks a happy bunch under Vaughan’s slick and subtle leadership. Michael has earned respect of many around the world for his sharp and shrew cricketing brain
