In the recently concluded three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team clinched a 3-0 victory. With a victory in the third T20I, the Indian team now have 12 consecutive victories in T20I cricket and needless to say a terrific achievement like this would have been impossible to achieve if Indian bowlers would not have exhibited their amazing bowling skills.
In a situation like this, former Indian fast bowler Irfan Pathan talked about a left-arm bowler’s presence in the side. The former left-arm Indian pacer feels, “left is always right.”
Pathan speaks
"With all these names (the Indian bowlers already part of the squad), I just want to add another name -- that of a left-arm bowler, and that can be whoever performs in the IPL -- Khaleel Ahmed, Natarajan or Chetan Sakariya,” Pathan was quoted while talking to the host broadcaster.
Pathan believes that Sakariya “is a bit rusty at the moment” but he thinks that if the 24-year-old Indian pacer “performs in the IPL” then he will surely be an option.
“I know Sakariya is a bit rusty at the moment, but if he performs in the IPL, he will be an option. Left is always right,” the 37-year-old former Indian all-rounder further added.
