India's senior speedster Jasprit Bumrah has made a surprise entry and has been included in Men in Blue's squad for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka which is set to start from January 10. Marred by the string of injuries, Bumrah will make his international comeback after more than three months now in the home series against the Island Nation. The premier pacer has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gave this major update on Twitter with a post that read," The All-India Senior Selection Committee has included pacer Jasprit Bumrah in India’s ODI squad for the upcoming Mastercard 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka."
India's pace spearhead last featured for the Men in Blues in the T20Is series against Australia at home back in September in 2022. Struggling with the stress fracture in his back, Bumrah was also ruled out of the marquee T20 World Cup 2022. His return will strengthen Team India's pace attack which hasn't really put up a good show in a while.
