Former India middle-order batter and left-arm spinner, Yuvraj Singh turned 41 years old on December 12 (Monday). The two-time World Cup champion with Team India (T20 World Cup 2007 and ODI World Cup 2013) received thousands of wishes from his massive fanbase. Yuvraj's longtime teammate Gautam Gambhir extended his wishes and called the 41-year-old the greatest white-ball cricketer India has ever produced.

"Happy Birthday to the best white ball cricketer India has ever produced! @YUVSTRONG12," Gambhir said in a Tweet in which he shared a picture of himself with Yuvraj.

During his career, Yuvraj evolved into a genuine match-winner for India in limited-overs cricket. On numerous occasions, the southpaw rolled out India's path to stunning victories with destructive stroke-making while his more-than-handy left-arm spin worked wonders for the Men in Blue in several crunch moments. So calling Yuvraj the greatest white ball cricketer shouldn't be surprising.

Fans didn't share the same sentiments as Gambhir and trolled him for putting Yuvraj Singh ahead of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma among other greats. One of the social medial users went as far as calling Gambhir 'jealous'.

Over its rich history, India has produced some of the greatest cricketers who have inspired millions across the world to pick up the sport and dream of representing their country one day. Yuvraj Singh is certainly one of them. After playing 400 international matches for India across the three formats, the left-handed batter called quits on his glittering career.

Yuvraj played 40 Tests and scored 1,900 runs while also accounting for nine wickets. He played 304 ODIs and scored 8,701 along with picking 111 wickets. In 58 T20Is, Yuvraj aggregated 1,177 while adding 28 wickets to his name in the shortest format of the game.
