Highlights:

All franchises announced their list of retained and released players on October 19.

The WPL 2024 auction will take place in Mumbai.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on November 24 announced the date of the players' auction ahead of the second edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL). On December 9, the players will go under the hammer in Mumbai. The salary cap for every franchise is Rs 13.5 crore. 
 

The 2024 edition of the T20 league is expected to take place in February-March 2024 before the men's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians are the defending champions. On Match 26, 2023, they beat Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals by seven wickets on March 26 at the Brabourne Stadium in the inaugural title clash.
