The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Apex Council Meeting is set to take place on July 7. One of the nine agendas of the meeting is the participation of retired cricketers in overseas T20 leagues. Recently, several cricketers including Ambati Rayudu have signed to play in the inaugural edition of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2023. Suresh Raina had also given his name in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) auction but wasn’t picked.

In the meeting, India's participation in Asian Games for both men and women will be discussed as well. Asian Games will begin on September 23, right after Asia Cup. Maybe India can send a second-string squad for the event.

In the last season, the impact rule was introduced in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament which was later adopted in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as well. Ahead of this year's edition of domestic T20 league, the playing conditions for impact player will be looked at again.

Another major point of discussion will be update on sponsorship, BYJU's and media rights for BCCI. Also, few days after the announcement of World Cup 2023 schedule, the discussion of Tour Package Operator for the mega event will take place as well.

Apart from the newly renovated stadiums, fans have complained of the quality of seats and services they receive. With few months to go in the quadrennial event, a discussion on stadium upgradation will take place. Recently, it was reported that the Arun Jaitley Stadium will undergo major renovation before the marquee event.

Last but not the least, the approval of Player Contract for both men and women players will be given in the meeting itself. Thereafter, any other point can be included in the agenda if the chairperson considers it.
