Blind T20 World Cup: India outclass Bangladesh with 7-wicket win, complete hat-trick of wins

India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets to chalk up their third successive win in the ongoing Blind T20 Cricket World Cup at the Barabati Stadium on Tuesday (December 13). 
 

India won the toss and chose to field first. India made headway early as they packed Bangladesh openers Salman and Abid within three overs.
 

Bangladesh skipper Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman and Mohammad Arif rebuilt the innings and forged together 84 runs for the third wicket. The partnership ended in the 13th over as Arif lost his wicket via run out. Arif contributed with a run-a-ball 33 in the 84-run partnership. 
 

Ashiqur Rahman was then accompanied by Tanzil in the middle and the duo batted out all the overs and took the total to 166 with a fourth wicket partnership of 61 runs.
 

Rahman was dismissed off the final ball of the innings after racking up an impressive knock of 75 off 53 balls. On the other end, Tanzil stayed unbeaten at 20. 
 

Chasing a par total, India responded with openers T Durga and Nakula Badanayak getting off to a flying start and scored 95 runs off 8.3 overs. 
 

India lost the first wicket in the form of Nakula after his swift knock of 36 off 24 balls. Durgao Rao (73) continued to pile on runs and took the hosts to doorstep of victory. India were only 15 runs adrift from the target when he retired out in the 12th over.
 

Skipper Ajay Kumar Reddy and Sunil Ramesh got India over the line as India beat Bangladesh comprehensively by chasing down the target with 41 balls to spare. 
 

India will now face Sri Lanka in their last league game on December 14 at Panjim Gymkhana Sports Club, Goa. Sri Lanka are currently on the top of points table with four wins on the trot.
