Australian cricket star David Warner expressed immense joy upon witnessing the ongoing recovery of Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Rishabh Pant. On August 28, Pant shared a glimpse of his training regime on social media, showcasing his rigorous efforts to regain peak fitness. The video was accompanied by the caption: "Grip. Twist. Paddle. Good vibes only."

Warner, who stepped in as the captain of the Delhi Capitals (DC) during the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) in Pant's absence, responded to the video with a heartwarming comment, saying, "This makes me smile and very happy." Sakshi, Pant's sister, too, shared her emotions with a heartfelt emoji.

For the unversed, Rishabh Pant underwent a traumatic ordeal in December 2022. He faced a severe car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway, where the car unfortunately flipped twice before igniting in flames. Fortunately, Pant was the sole occupant of the vehicle during the accident.

The incident caused Pant multiple injuries: two cuts on the forehead, a ligament tear in the right knee, and abrasions across his back. Additionally, his right wrist, ankle, toe, and leg sustained injuries. However, amidst the gloom, silver lining shone through. X-rays from Saksham Hospital confirmed the absence of bone fractures.

Subsequent to the crash, Pant received medical attention at a reputed Mumbai hospital. Upon stabilization, he shifted his recovery efforts to his residence and began a structured rehabilitation program under the vigilant eyes of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) based in Bengaluru. This program encompassed strength training, flexibility exercises, and running drills.

By the close of August 2023, sources from the NCA revealed encouraging news. Pant had not only become pain-free but was also batting with his usual ferocity, effortlessly handling deliveries clocking over 140 km/hr.

While there's no set date for Rishabh Pant's grand return to the cricket arena, the trajectory of his recovery journey is promising. His relentless spirit and resilience suggest a powerful comeback is on the horizon. Cricket enthusiasts and fellow players are collectively holding their breath, keenly anticipating Pant's return to the crease.
