From Sehwag to Rahane: Cricket fraternity wishes King Kohli as he turns 33

India’s skipper Virat Kohli turned 33 today on November 5th. The prolific right-hander way ahead of many cricketing legends in terms of records. He is currently playing his last T20 World Cup as a captain and still has a long journey to go as a cricketer.

Virat has some blistering records to his name, from batting stats to captaincy stats. The Delhi-lad already has some immense fan following and is praised by several iconic players of the game for his batting brilliance.

On his 33rd birthday, Virat has received wishes from many Indian legends and franchises on Twitter. From former Indian batter Virender Sehwag to his current Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise (RCB), here’s a look at their warm birthday wishes for India’s batting maestro.

Tough times don’t last long’

Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag wished Kohli by writing, “Tough times don’t last long, tough people do. A once in a generation player , wishing @imVkohli a very happy birthday and a great year ahead.“

“Happy Birthday @imVkohli. Wishing you good health and happiness for the coming year!, “wished India’ s test team vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane in his tweet.

Former India all-rounder Yusuf Pathan tweeted, “Modern day great, chase master - Wishing Virat Kohli a very happy birthday. Inspiration to many budding cricketers across the globe.”

Virat has been representing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL for the past 13 years. Apart from RCB, other franchises too greeted Kohli on his special day.

Delhi Capitals wished him by tweeting,” Here's to the man who has been the pioneering face of modern- day cricket in India. Hope you get your most favourite birthday gift tonight, a Team India victory. “

“Here’s wishing the KING, the LEADER, the INSPIRATION, Virat Kohli, a very very Happy Birthday!,” wrote Kohli's franchise RCB.
