Team India premier paceman Japrit Bumrah will lead the national team in the upcoming T20I series against Ireland. Indian cricket fans have been waiting to watch Bumrah in action for a long time as the right-arm pacer has missed a substantial amount of time due to injury. As Bumrah's return to the national team nears, there is a palpable amount of excitement among the ardent followers of the sport.

Former India cricketer and legendary spinner, Harbhajan Singh is one among those people who are waiting with bated breath to watch Bumrah in the India threads once again. Harbhajan is praying that the Indian speedster remains free from injuries moving forward, especially with ODI World Cup scheduled to be played later in the year.

"Jasprit Bumrah has made a comeback. He was injured for a long time and his return was awaited. He has come back and has been made the captain straightaway. Congratulations to Jassi for becoming the captain and foremost for getting fit. I hope and keep my fingers crossed that Jassi doesn't get injured again," Harbhajan said on his YouTube channel.

Pestered by the recurring back injury, Bumrah has been sidelined for almost a year which has cost India big time in the mega events including the recent WTC final. Bumrah's absence has hurt India not just in the WTC final but also in last year's Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.

Harbhajan showered immense praise on the Indian pacer and called him the 'Virat Kohli of bowling' and said that when it comes to bowlers, there is no bigger name than Bumrah.

"He has been missed a lot, whether you see the WTC final or the cricket that was played before that. I used to say earlier and am saying it today as well that if we talk about batting, we talk about Virat Kohli, and if there is a Virat Kohli of bowling, it is Jasprit Bumrah. There is no bigger name than him," said Harbhajan.
