Star Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf finally broke the silence on the controversial fight with a fan in the United States which sparked a huge controversy across social media. He revealed the reason behind his aggressive action toward the fan and said as a public figure they are open up to all sorts of feedback and criticism but they are not supposed to target it toward their family.
Haris Rauf gets into altercation with fan
In a video which is going viral all over the internet, Haris Rauf was seen walking with his wife Muzna Masood Malik when the Pakistani fan appeared to be passing some remark at the cricketer. Muzna tried to refrain Rauf and ignore the comments but it infuriated the pacer. He rushed to confront the fan in an aggressive manner but was stopped by some officials who were present there. This led to a big ruckus and was followed by a heated verbal spat between the two. Muzna was constantly trying to calm Rauf down.

Haris Rauf reveals reason behind his action
Haris Rauf's statement on the altercation shows that the fan allegedly made some remarks about Rauf's family which led to the aggressive reaction from the star cricketer. He called out all fans and said, nobody has the right to target their family and everyone's family must be respected.
“I decided not to bring this on social media, But now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions,” Haris Rauf said in a post he shared from his official ‘X’ account, formerly known as Twitter.
