The Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India is set to host the reigning world champions Australia for the T20I series in Mumbai which is slated to kick off from December 9.
The five-match T20I series, which will be played in a span of 11 days, is scheduled to be held on December 9, 11, 14, 17 and 20. Venue for the first two T20Is will be DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai while the rest of the matches will be hosted by the CCI-Brabourne stadium.
The series will be important as it is the pre-cursor to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa, starting early February.

The Birmingham Commonwealth Games champions Australia last toured India for a limited-overs series back in 2018 where they clinched a clean sweep over the Women in Blue 3-0 in ODIs before overcoming India twice in the tri-nation women's T20 series.
The series will mark India's return to the international circuit after their win against Sri Lanka to complete a successful Asia Cup campaign in October. They are scheduled to tour South Africa in the second half of January for a tri-series featuring West Indies, in the build-up to the Women's T20 World Cup 2023.
