Hyderabad senior women's team coach Vidyuth Jaisimha was suspended on February 16 following allegations of carrying and consuming alcohol on the team bus. Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) chief Jagan Mohan Rao instructed Vidyuth to abstain from all cricket-related activities until further notice, pending an investigation by the board.
The incident came to light when an anonymous email was sent to the HCA, accusing senior women's team coach Vidyuth of consuming alcohol in the presence of the team and behaving inappropriately with players.
HCA president Jagan Mohan Rao also mentioned that videos allegedly showing Vidyuth consuming alcohol on the team bus were being shared in local media and WhatsApp groups.
Jaisimha refrained from cricketing activities
"Please note that an anonymous email has been received by HCA on 15-02-2024 with videos of you carrying and consuming alcohol in the team bus while on your with the Hyderabad State team. Further, the videos were also circulated in various WhatsApp groups and also shown on TV News channels. This is a matter of serious concern and I have asked for a thorough investigation to be done in this matter and a decision will be made based on the outcome of the investigation," Jagan Mohan Rao said in the letter.
"In the interim, while the investigation is being carried out, I am directing you to refrain from involving yourself in any cricketing activities on behalf of HCA," he added.

Women cricketers' complaint against Vidyuth
The HCA took action after women cricketers allegedly reached out to the police and requested action against Vidyuth. The incident occurred as the women's team travelled from Hyderabad to Vijayawada for a match a few days ago.
Complaints from parents and relatives of the women players were lodged with HCA authorities four days ago. They claimed that the coach had consumed alcohol and behaved inappropriately with the female players on multiple occasions.
