'I have prayed that...': Akash Deep on visit to Ram Temple in Ayodhya after India vs Bangladesh Test series

Indian cricketer Akash Deep who last featured in the two-Test match series against Bangladesh has travelled to Ayodhya to visit the Ram Temple where he offered prayers for fulfilling his 'long-held' dream. India registered a dominating win against Bangladesh by achieving a clean sweep. 

Akash Deep who made his Test debut against England earlier this year was retained in the India squad and he was featured in both Test matches where he picked up five wickets in four innings. 
 

"It was a dream since long to have darshan of Lord Ram, especially when this temple was built and I saw videos of Lord Ram... I have prayed that the way we are playing, we keep that going on... I can't express it in words - how it felt to have darshan of Lord Ram..." Akash Deep told ANI.

Akash Deep said that he doesn't want to put oo much pressure on whether to go to Australia or not, instead he lives in present. 

“When we play at this level, we should not get confused that I played a certain style at that level (Ranji) and things are different here. I don’t put too much pressure that I need to go to Australia and all that. I live in the present. It remains simple for me,” Akash Deep said, as quoted by the Hindustan Times.

Akash Deep Test career

Akash Deep made his debut during the India vs England Ranchi Test. He played just three matches for India where he picked up eight wickets showcasing his potential and skill. He picked up 3/83 in his Test debut.
