International Cricket Council (ICC) is planning to hold its board meeting during the upcoming T20 World Cup in UAE, which begins on October 17. The apex cricket body will hold the meeting in the presence of all the members, who will be in the UAE for the marquee event.

A source in the know of development confirmed Sports Tak about ICC’s decision of planning the Board meeting during the T20 World Cup and the agenda of the meeting. While the agenda of the meeting isn’t ready, it is believed the ICC will discuss issues related to the media rights, Taliban cricket, and the upcoming ICC tournaments.

The source also told Sports Tak about the possibility of discussion on Pakistan cricket. However, the source added that everything is still in the nascent stage and a clear picture will emerge closer to the event.

Last month, New Zealand had abandoned their Pakistan tour citing security alert and England had followed in their footsteps and cancelled their series in Pakistan in October.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan also saw changes post the coming up of the new ruling government under Taliban. It saw the exit of CEO Hamid Shinwari, who was replaced by Naseebullah Haqqani. The sub-continent team’s three-match ODI series against Pakistan got cancelled and their one-off Test against Australia has been postponed indefinitely.
