Two of the Indian Premier League (IPL)'s young guns have featured their names International recruits who will display their skills in upcoming Queensland Premier Cricket.
The new-look KFC T20 Max series next month has unveiled five international recruits who will test their skills in Queensland Premier Cricket.
Delhi Capitals' (DC) left-arm pacemen Chetan Sakariya and Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) Mukesh Choudhary will spend time in Brisbane next month as part of an exchange with the renowned MRF Pace Academy.
Beside the IPL duo, three Papua New Guinea internationals, fresh from making the semi-finals of the ICC World T20 qualifiers in Zimbabwe this month, will link with clubs to take advantage of the pre-season competition on offer.
"Player and coaching exchanges between the MRF Pace Foundation and Cricket Australia have been in place for almost 20 years, with the two Indian players marking the resumption of the relationship that was paused due to COVID," Cricket Australia said in a statement.
The initial Australians who attended the first exchange in 1992 were Glenn McGrath and Paul Wilson, when the great Dennis Lillee was the head coach. McGrath subsequently took over as head coach following the end of his illustrious bowling career.
Sunshine Coast will host Sakariya while Wynnum-Manly will welcome Choudhary.
Matches will be played at Premier club grounds and under lights at the newly redeveloped Allan Border Field.
The league will be played across three weeks from August 18 to September 4 with the final at Allan Border Field coinciding with the free Brisbane Heat Family Day.
