India is on 73/5 at stumps day 2.

KL Rahul and India A top order failed again.

Star Indian batter KL Rahul was once again removed cheaply, continuing his terrible run at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday, November 8, in the second unofficial Test match against Australia A. The right-handed batter started his innings cautiously, scoring 10 runs off of 43 balls, but Corey Rocchiccioli bowled him through his legs, ending all of his hard work. Apart from Rahul, India A's top order was a flop show as they were down to five wickets on the score of just 56.

Marcus Harris' 74 helped the Aussies take lead over India

Australia was not in an extraordinary position as well, they too lost 5 wickets for 84 in their first innings but Marcus Harris played a crucial knock and helped his side bounce back and get big lead over India A side. His 74-run knock followed by crucial knocks from Peirson, McAndrew, and Rocchiccioli helped the Aussies put 62-run lead on India A.

India A suffer another collapse

India A lose their first five wickets even before getting out of the Australian lead. None of the batters could manage to take a solid stand as Aussie bowlers ran right through them once again. As for now, Dhruv Jurel and Nitish Reddy are on the pitch. Both of them have the responsibility to take India to a big score and put pressure on the hosts.

Jurel was India's star performer with 80 runs in the first innings. He would again have to play a similar role. Nitish Reddy has a spot in India's BGT spot and this match is a perfect opportunity to prove his ability in red-ball cricket.
