The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has slammed the Australian players for losing their aggressive streak against India and accused the Aussie them for changing their DNA for money they make by playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The PCB Chief was quoted by the Pakistan News Channel ARY News, saying that the international cricketers have pressure to save their IPL contracts and receive a lot of money and add-ons.
“Australians have changed their DNA because of money, they played against India happily and without aggressive approach. International cricketers have pressure as now they want to save their IPL contracts where they receive a lot of money plus add-ons.”
The 59-year-old also talked about New Zealand’s decision to abandon their Pakistan tour and England’s call to cancel their series in Pakistan in October. The PCB chairman said that both the teams ‘ran away’ without playing and have ‘wronged’ Pakistan.
The former Pakistan cricketer also revealed about his meeting with current Prime Minister Imran Khan saying that the former skipper asked them not to give any explanations regarding the matter to anyone as New Zealand and England wronged them by not touring. He also said that it is not Pakistan’s mistake and others are at loss for not touring the country.
