In an effort to encourage younger generations to embrace the excitement of cricket, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that students will receive free entry to the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The second Test which was earlier set to be played at the National Stadium in Karachi was moved to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and will be played from August 30 to September 3, 2024.

The PCB's move is intended to offer students an experience of the exhilarating atmosphere of a live cricket match. Students need to wear their school uniforms and present a legitimate school ID card at the entryway for this offer. Subject to seat availability, those who meet these requirements will be granted access to VIP enclosures, such as the Imran Khan and Javed Miandad enclosures. Moreover, students can likewise get premium areas like Miran Baksh, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, and Yasir Arafat enclosures.

"The students are required to be in their uniform and bring their educational institution cards to enter the stadium. The decision was made to encourage students to come and witness exciting game of cricket between the two sides," PCB's statement read.

PCB took a similar step in the first Test match, where fans were offered free entry on the fourth and fifth days, increasing the excitement and turnout. Bangladesh are leading the two-match Test series 1-0 after a historic 10-wicket triumph in the first match. The series is part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.

Students are the only ones eligible for the free entry offer and tickets for other fans can be purchased. These can be purchased online through the PCB's official ticketing partner at PCB.tcs.com.pk or from assigned actual ticket counters at Aviation Ground,  Rawal Road, and selected TCS express centers. Tickets for the VIP enclosure cost PKR 600 on weekends and PKR 500 on weekdays, while premium enclosure tickets cost PKR 200.

For fans looking for a more luxurious experience, the Exhibition pass, which also includes lunch and tea, is accessible for PKR 2,800. The Platinum Box, offering a top-notch view and rewards, is estimated at PKR 12,500. For PKR 200,000, you can reserve a full hospitality box, which is ideal for larger groups.
