Richa Ghosh makes T20I comeback for Asian Games; Harleen Deol, Pooja Vastrakar dropped as 18-year-old receives maiden call-up

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India women's cricket team's squad for Asian Games 2023 at Hangzhou. Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the squad with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy. 
 

Hard-hitting wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh who was not picked for the ongoing Bangladesh tour on fitness grounds has made a comeback to the squad. Young pacer Titas Sadhu who was impressive in India's Under-19 Women's World Cup 2023 in South Africa has earned her maiden call-up.
 

Rookie spinners Minnu Mani and Anusha Bareddy who have impressed in their debut series in Bangladesh have retained their place in the squad.
 

Harleen Deol and Pooja Vastrakar have been dropped from the main squad and added to the standby list of players. Meanwhile, Renuka Singh continues to sit out of the squad. 
 

The women's competition will commence on September 19 and will be played till September 28.
