Just two days after making headlines for his on-field outburst towards the on-field umpire, star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan once again let emotions get the better of him. During Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) game between Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders on January 10 (Tuesday), the superstar of Bangladesh cricket stormed onto the ground from the dugout to confront the umpire.

The incident occurred before Fortune Barishal's run-chase got underway. Anamul Haque Bijoy and Chaturanga De Silva walked out to open the innings for Shakib's team but confusion prevailed as the two couldn't decide who should take the strike. With left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan ready to start the proceedings with the new balls, left-handed batter De Silva went to the striker's end as the match-up was in Fortune Barishal's favour.

Looking at De Silva at the striker's end, Rangpur gave the ball to right-arm off-spinner Mahedi Hasan to swing the match-up in their favour. Fortune Barishal openers then changed ends and Anamul got ready to take the strike. Desperate to win the match-up, Rangpur once again gave the ball to Rakibul.

With all the confusion on the field, captain Shakib was first spotted signaling the two batters from just outside the boundary cushion but later the veteran cricketer stormed onto the ground and indulged in a heated exchange with the on-field umpire.

The Bangladesh all-rounder has been involved in such instances in the past as well. During Fortune Barishal's match against Sylhet Strikers, the superstar of Bangladesh cricket Shakib Al Hasan once again lost his temper and got involved in an extremely heated exchange with the on-field umpire. The incident occurred during the fourth ball of the 16th over of Fortune Barishal's innings bowled by Rejaur Rahman Raja. The right-arm pacer delivered a bouncer from round the wicket and the ball flew over Shakib's head at the striker's end.

The square-leg umpire didn't call it a wide and Fortune Barishal captain completely lost his cool and the anger was conspicuous. The all-rounder screamed and charged at the square-leg official before going head-to-head in a heated exchange. Sylhet Strikers wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim stepped in between and tried to calm Shakib down.
