After eight months away from Test Cricket, Team India returned with a bang, defeating Bangladesh 2-0 in the just-finished Test Series. In an attempt to get to their third consecutive World Test Championship (WTC) final in June, India will play eight more Tests in the coming weeks. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test Series, a five-match series against Australia, will be their biggest test. One of the squad's most important players in the series, Virat Kohli, responded hilariously to a fan question about the next series.
Virat's hilarious reply to fan
In a video which is currently going viral all over social media, star Indian player Virat Kohli was spotted making an exit from the airport, when a fan told him, "Aag lagani hai BGT mein (You have to set fire during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy). Virat could not catch what the fan was saying and turned around asking him "Kismein lagani hai? (What do I have to set fire to).
Rohit Sharma likely to miss one BGT Test
It is being anticipated that the Indian skipper might miss the first or second Test match against Australia. The 37-year-old is thought to have already notified the BCCI of his probable absence.
Five Test matches between Australia and India is scheduled to begin in Perth on November 22. The sides will later take a plane to Adelaide for a pink-ball match that will serve as the second Test starting on December 6. One of these two Test matches is anticipated to be missed by Rohit. The final three games will be played in Sydney (Jan 3-7), Melbourne (Dec 26-30), and Brisbane (Dec 14–18).
