Indian captain Rohit Sharma along with Axar Patel and Shivam Dube were recently spotted in 'The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2' celebrating the Indian cricket team's victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. The funny incident took place when cricketers were playing dumb charades.
Rohit held a small placard displaying the name of MS Dhoni, while Axar Patel assisted him in selecting the name. The lefty all-rounder failed to replicate Dhoni properly. After that India T20I captain Suryakumar took charge replacing Axar, and imitated Dhoni's famous 'helicopter shot'. Rohit picked it quite comfortably this time and then responded to Axar with a funny comment.
"Everyone hits a six like that. Show something different," Rohit said on Axar's failed attempt.
"Let me do it. He will pick it in first chance," said Surya and lived up to the expectations.
"Mene final ka chakka maara righty se [I did the (World Cup) final six pose from the right hand]," said Axar, who bats left-handed.
In a funny reply, Rohit said: "Helicopter ghuma na (Swing it like the helicopter then)."
This is the second time Rohit Sharma has appeared in Kapil Sharma's show, earlier he was in the show after India's loss in the ODI World Cup final against Australia.
Rohit Sharma-led India defeated South Africa in a nail-biter clash to win the T20 World Cup 2024 at Kensington Oval Barbados. Soon after winning the T20 World Cup, Indian captain Rohit Sharma along with star batter Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja announced their retirement from the shortest format of the game.
Rohit Sharma's last outing for India
Rohit recently led India in the two-Test match series against Bangladesh where the Men in Blue defeated visitors 2-0 to whitewash the series. Rohit will now be seen in the action in the upcoming three-Test match series against New Zealand which is scheduled to start from October 16.
