India star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is celebrating his 31st birthday on October 11, 2024 and the cricketing star shares his birth date with Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Hardik is currently with Suryakumar Yadav-led team India for the T20I series against Bangladesh. India have already won the series by winning two T20Is out of three.
Hardik shared his unique memory with Bollywood's Big B Amitabh. He revealed that Amitabh praised his father for giving such a great child to the nation. Hardik's father Himanshu was died in 2021 due to cardiac arrest.
"I have a good memory of when he (Amitabh) met my father in 2019 or 2017, one of the years when we won the IPL. After that, when he met my father, he said a line, I think there is a clip also of that, where he said that you have given such a great child to your country, you have done a great job. So that itself was a big thing that's coming from him" said Hardik on Star Sports.
Hardik was part of India's T20 World Cup 2024 squad where the Men in blue clinched the title defeating South Africa in the final. He was the top contender for captaincy after Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20Is but BCCI appointed Suryakukmar Yadav as Rohit Sharma's successor.
Hardik is currently is in the form of his life, he smashed 32 off 19 in his last outing for India during the second T20I against Bangladesh at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. India vs Bangladesh 3rd T20I will take place at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on October 12.
