Former England captain Michael Vaughan has warned the cricketing world after hearing the news about Rahul Dravid’s appointment as the new head coach of the Indian cricket team.
Vaughan took the social media route and wrote, “If it’s true Rahul Dravid is to be the next Indian coach I think the rest of the world better beware...!".
The former Indian captain, who has been in-charge of India A and Under-19 teams for the last six years has been appointed as the new head coach of the Indian team, as per Sports Tak sources. Dravid has been credited with producing young Indian talents including Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw and Shubhman Gill.
Sources have told Sports Tak about the marathon meeting between Dravid and the board’s top-brass on Friday and how the BCCI convinced the former Karnataka batter to take up the top job.
‘The Wall’, one of the legends of the Indian cricket had amassed 13288 runs in 164 Tests including 36 centuries and 63 fifties. Dravid also has 10899 ODI runs under his belt in 344 matches with 12 centuries and 83 half-centuries.
