Indian World Cup-winning spinner Harbhajan Singh lavished praise on the Sri Lanka cricket team after they defeated India in the recently concluded ODI series by 2-0. This is the first time after 27 years that Sri Lanka won an ODI series against India. He said that the credit goes to Sri Lanka because they played better than India.
The first match between India and Sri Lanka was ended in a tie and after that the Island nation defeated India in the two consecutive ODIs to seal the series.
"It was one of those things. Sometimes you win it, sometimes you lose it. It's sports after all. All teams go through these periods. You play well but you still don't win. I will give credit to Sri Lanka. They played well. They played better than India" said Harbhajan on PTI.
Harbhajan does believe that youngsters have way more hunger than senior players as they are yet to establish themselves.
