The stage is set for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023 which is slated to kick off from March 4 (Saturday). Harmanpreet Kaur's Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Beth Mooney's Gujarat Giants in the tournament opener at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Right before the WPL 2023 opener takes place from 8:00 pm IST, a glitzy opening ceremony will be staged in which big Bollywood stars and singers will be seen performing. Bollywood actors Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani, along with Punjabi singer-rapper AP Dhillon, will grace the opening ceremony which will start from 6:25 pm IST.
Meanwhile, in a video which is doing rounds on Internet, Kiara and Kriti can be seen rehearsing their performance with a bunch of background artists on the stage. Also, renowned music composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan will sing the WPL anthem at the opening ceremony to add to the excitement.

"Adding glitz and glamour to the tournament opener will be Bollywood stars – Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon. To top it all, singer-songwriter AP Dhillon will be performing some of his musical chartbusters on-stage that is bound to leave the audience enthralled," stated BCCI in a release.
Apart from this, BCCI also informed that due to the opening ceremony, the first match has been rescheduled.
"The inaugural game will have a rescheduled start and will commence at 08.00 PM IST on Saturday. The toss will take place at 07.30 PM IST," stated BCCI.
