Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Smriti Mandhana expressed her gratitude towards the M Chinnaswamy crowd for their support for the home team. Speaking at the toss before their third Women's Premier League (WPL) match against Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals (DC), Mandhana thanked the fans for their overwhelming presence. She said that the team feels they have an additional 10 runs added to their score because of the way the stadium chants for the team.
This marks the first time that the WPL is being hosted outside of Mumbai. With the first leg of the tournament held in Bengaluru, RCB's matches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium witnessed a packed crowd. In their tournament opener, Bengaluru was sold out and has witnessed a consistent crowd in RCB's first two games.
Mandhana's comments came in recognition of this.

"It's really exciting to play in front of the RCB crowd. The chants have really pumped up. They have turned up in huge numbers and we feel we have 10 runs more due to their support. Really thankful to them," Mandhana said at the toss.
RCB have won first two matches
In contrast to last season, RCB have begun the competition excitingly. Following their victory in the first match, a thrilling final-ball win against UP Warriorz. During that match, the top-order batters of RCB, including Mandhana, faced difficulties as she managed to score 13 runs off 11 balls.
RCB furthered their success by defeating the Beth Mooney-led Gujarat Giants (GG). Smriti Mandhana scored 43 runs off 27 balls, including eight fours and a six.
Mandhana discussed the team's performance and said that they are brimming with confidence.
"Definitely, I'm very confident. After the first two games, I'm just looking to carry forward the form and contribute to the team. In the last season, I was an off-side dominant player. Right now, I have worked to improve on my range coming into this season," Mandhana said.
"Everybody is very confident. We are just looking to carry forward the winning momentum. We are taking one game at a time. We are really looking forward to facing the Delhi Capitals today," Mandhana concluded at the toss.
