A FIFA-AFC team landed in India on Thursday for a three-day tour and met with the officials of Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), who are the marketing partners of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and also organise the Indian Super League (ISL). The delegation also met the Indian men's national team head coach Igor Stimac and had a long talk with the Croatian after going through the various aspects and issues that club football face in the country.
The delegation was made up of Sonam Jigmi, Senior Manager, South Asia, MA Division, AFC, Allessandro Gramagila, Strategic Development Manager, FIFA, Sarah Solemale, Senior MA Governance Service Manager, and Nodar Akhalkatsi, Director, Strategic Projects & MA Governance, FIFA.
The AIFF Secretary General Shaji Prabhakaran said: "Once the roadmap is ready, it will reflect on our work. We want something on the pitch, which includes realistic goals and achievable objectives.
"We are collaborating with institutions as well as individuals, who can help us with the overall growth. Success will be defined when we work together. I believe in thinking out of the box and if there is a will there is always a way."
