The FIFA Club World Cup will take place from June 14 to July 13, 2025 and will be start of something big in terms of football in the US as the mega event in the form of 2026 FIFA World Cup will happen next summer. Both of these events will actually happen in the United States for the very first time. 

Teams from Major League Soccer (MLS) such as Seattle Sounders FC and Inter Miami will be among the 32 teams that will take part in the newly revamped FIFA Club World Cup.

What did FIFA President Gianni Infantino say about the FIFA Club World Cup?

While making an appearance on the 'Fox & Friends' on Thursday, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said that some of the big players including the likes of Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., Jude Bellingham and Rodri will all take part in the prestigious event. 

Spectacle, pure and soccer will definitely conquer America in 100 days from now, he said.

Stadiums such as The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California; MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey; Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina; Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Lumen Field in Atlanta, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida; Camping World Stadium and Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida; Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee; TQL Stadium in Cincinnati and Audi Field in Washington will all host matches from the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

When will the 2026 FIFA World Cup start?

The FIFA Club World Cup will be a preview for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup as the top players will battle it out for the coveted trophy that will start from June 11 2026 to July 19 2026. The United States, Canada and Mexico will be the three host nations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The final will be played at the MetLife Stadium. 

So far the host nations are the ones who have clinched a spot in the tournament and the rest will follow next year. A total of 48 teams will take part in the prestigious cup.
