Pep Guardiola Opens Up on Kevin De Bruyne's Future at Man City

The Belgium international's sudden plummet comes as worrisome for the club and coach. Moreover, as Kevin De Bruyne is in the final season of his contract, the future looks uncertain for him at the club. So, is it the end of the road for KDB in the City outfit following the end of the season?

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola addressed the situation in which his most trusted player is in. Lauding him as a player who remains honest with himself, Guardiola did not make any claim but rather left it for him to decide his future.

"I think in that situation he has to decide, that is the most important thing,’ Guardiola said. ‘He’s completely honest with himself, to decide what he feels and what he can do in the next period of his life. He’s 34 in the summer and he has to decide, like what happened with David Silva for example."

Silva decided to leave the club after his contract expired in 2020.

Kevin De Bruyne spent his peak years with Manchester City. He was the standout player for Pep's side for a countless number of times in the last decade. Hence, it will be intriguing to witness whether it is just a phase, which he can endure and return to his old self or if he is just a shadow of the player he once was.
