Pep Guardiola has provided an fitness update on Erling Haaland's injury after he was forced off during Manchester City's 2-1 victory over Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-final on Sunday, March 30. Erling Haaland is one of the key players for City as they have a busy Premier League schedule ahead of them, as they fight for top four spot.

The Norwegian forward scored the equaliser after missing a penalty at the Vitality Stadium. After having a collision with Lewis Cook, Haaland went straight into the advertising and Cook fell on his heel. He tried to continue but wasn't able to as he headed straight towards the bench. 

The Manchester City coach spoke after the victory and said that he is still unaware of the full extend of the injury. 

I don’t know yet, we will have to see.

Omar Marmoush has been the shining light for City ever since arriving at the club. He wasted no time and scored the winner for City, sending them through to a seventh consecutive FA Cup semi-final. 

The timing of the injury to Haaland comes at a point when City needs him the most as they are not having a great season. They will face Leicester City on April 2 at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League. After that, they have the Manchester derby with Manchester United at Old Trafford. Haaland's fitness would be crucial for the City as they fight for a top four spot in the Premier League. They are a point behind Chelsea. 

Manchester City come from behind to beat Bournemouth

Manchester City came from behind to beat Bournemouth 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium and secured a spot in the seventh consecutive FA Cup semi-final. They will now face a tricky Nottingham Forest at Wembley. After the win, Guardiola said,

We did it. Seven times in a row reaching semi-finals in the FA Cup. I am sorry to tell you, but this is outstanding. This generation of players, they have done this.

Kepa Arrizabalaga came clutch in the fourteenth minute after saving a penalty effort from Haaland. Shortly after, Bournemouth took the lead when Evanilson scored from close range. But four minutes into the second half, Haaland redeemed himself by scoring the equaliser. But, soon he had to be subbed as he limped off the ground. 

Lastly, Marmoush was the game changer as he scored the winning goal in the 63rd minute to seal the deal for Manchester City.
