The 'first half' of the Champions League Round of 16 fixtures has finally come to an end after two weeks of gruelling football involving the top two sides in the competition. While some results were expected, there were definitely some surprises as well, especially in the second week of action which was one of the best comebacks by an away side in the Champions League.

So, without further ado, we look at the eight matches of the Round of 16, Leg 1, and how the teams fared in these tough encounters.

Milan 1-0 Tottenham
Young midfielder Brahim Diaz scored the only goal of the game to give Milan a 1-0 lead over the Premier League giants in the first-leg match.

PSG 0-1 Bayern
Former PSG academy graduate Kingsley Coman scored a solitary goal as the German champions downed the French champions on their home turf.

Club Brugge 0-2 Benfica
Reeling from the loss of Enzo Fernandez did not deter the Portuguese giants, with goals from Joao Mario and David Neres sealing a win over the Belgian club.

Dortmund 1-0 Chelsea
The out-of-form Chelsea succumbed to the better side once again, courtesy of a Karim Adeyemi goal.

Liverpool 2-5 Real Madrid
In one of the most exciting matches in this round, Liverpool took an easy 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah. However, Vinicius Jr scored twice to restore parity, before another brace from Karim Benzema and a goal from Eder Militao sealed the win for the defending champions.

Frankfurt 0-2 Napoli
The current Italian league leaders have been in fine form, extending the same to the Champions League as well with goals from Victor Osimhen and Giovanni Di Lorenzo sealing a comfortable win. Frankfurt will further miss the services of their in-form striker Randal Kolo Muani, who received a late red card in the game.

RB Leipzig 1-1 Manchester City
Manchester City, in search of their maiden CL title, were held to a 1-1 draw after young Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol's goal cancelled out Riyad Mahrez's initial strike.

Inter 1-0 Porto
The return of Romelu Lukaku to form is a major boost for Inter, who beat Portuguese giants Porto 1-0 in a tightly contested clash.
