After a close game between Atletico Madrid and Liverpool in Madrid, there were tensions among the managers of two teams.  After the final whistle, Diego Simeone opted not to shake hands with Jurgen Klopp which left the latter a bit embarrassed. Simeone was also seen shouting in the tunnel with the kind of behaviour Klopp showed after the game.
“I want to shake his hand. His reaction for sure, like mine, was not so cool,” Klopp said to BT Sport. In response, Simeone reacted by saying, “I never shake hands after a match, because I don’t like it. It isn’t healthy for either the one who wins or the one who loses. That’s the way I see it.”

Simeone wasn’t happy with match calls
Atletico boss was left fuming with the kind of decisions the referees took during their game. First, their striker Antonie Griezmann was shown a red card for his badly-timed tackle on Firminho. The second was the penalty decision that was given against him and the third was a penalty decision of their own which was overturned. Frustrated by the decisions, he left the pitch immediately after the final whistle. Klopp did not seem impressed with Simeone’s behavior, holding out his hand and then gave a sarcastic thumbs-up when he ran down the tunnel.

Liverpool win in a thrilling encounter
Atletico Madrid hosted 2019 Champions League-winner Liverpool at Wanda Metropolitano in their Champions League group stage clash. Liverpool drew first blood when their striker Mohamed Salah breached Atletico's defense. Liverpool doubled their lead in the 13th minute with a goal from Nabi Keita. But the host didn’t hold themselves back and equalised with their striker Griezmann’s brace in 20th and 34th minute. However, in the 52nd minute, Griezmann was shown a red card for his tackle. The game was going at a good pace for both the teams but in the 78th minute Atletico conceded a penalty which led to Salah scoring the third goal helping Liverpool earn three crucial points.
