The winner of the Bristol Motor Speedway, Kyle Larson came ahead to show his support for Goodyear Tyre on Tuesday, 24th September on social media. The 28-times Cup Series winner told the fans to take it easy and stop blaming the tyre company for the passing issues seen at the recently concluded Bass Pro Shops Night Race at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

Stop blaming Goodyear: Kyle Larson

In a lengthy post on his social media, Larson revealed that it has always been tough to pass cars at the 0.5-mile short track. They are even trying the Next-Gen cars with different tyre compounds so that it makes the passing easier for the drivers.

The 2021 Cup Series champion mentioned that right now he doesn't have the solutions and told the fans to stop blaming Goodyear. He said, "I don’t have the answer to fix what we currently have and neither do you but please stop blaming Goodyear. It’s not a tire problem."

Became the second driver after Cale Yarborough to lead more than 450 laps

The five-time winner for this season led 462 laps out of 500 at the Bristol Motor Speedway and marked a comfortable victory. Kyle became the second driver after Cale Yarborough to lead more than 450 laps. Back in 1977, Cale Yarborough managed to lead 495 laps in comparison to Larson's 462.

However, there was a controversy involving the fans and racing insiders on the tyre's wear and tear that made it impossible to pass the rival cars.

Larson also conceded that Bristol has seen its share of races where it's only dominated by one driver, but the Tennessee track has seen its fair bit of thrillers on the track.

Larson mentioned that he remembers how tough it used to be to pass cars at Bristol and said, "Speed on pit road and most likely there’s a good chance you’re going a lap down on the next run. That’s the way it is and has been for a very long time."

"I’m not saying I want tires to explode again but we’re trying to crutch this race car on short tracks with the tire and then blame Goodyear every week cause cars can’t pass," Larson added.

Kyle Larson ended his post by telling people not to get their hopes high for the upcoming race as they won't get to see passing every week on the track. "Temper your expectations. We’re driving spec race cars," Larson concluded.
