The Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway is set to make a significant impact on the championship standings.

Last week, two-time Cup Series champion Joey Logano clinched one of the four sought-after championship spots by winning in Las Vegas. This win came just after Logano was reinstated in the playoffs following the disqualification of Hendrick Motorsports' playoff driver, Alex Bowman.

While Logano’s exciting victory and the ongoing 2024 playoff story are certainly engaging, the race in Las Vegas had a meaningful effect on all eight playoff contenders. With the stakes at their highest, drivers are preparing for what promises to be a thrilling race!

The NASCAR starting lineup for the Homestead-Miami playoff race on Sunday, October 27, is led by Tyler Reddick in the No. 45 car for 23XI Racing, followed by Kyle Larson in the No. 5 for Hendrick Motorsports. Christopher Bell starts third in the No. 20 for Joe Gibbs Racing, with his teammate Denny Hamlin in fourth driving the No. 11. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. starts fifth in the No. 47 for JTG Daugherty Racing, and Martin Truex Jr. takes the sixth spot in the No. 19, also for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Chase Elliott is set to start seventh in the No. 9 car for Hendrick Motorsports, with Bubba Wallace in eighth in the No. 23 for 23XI Racing. Daniel Hemric follows in ninth, driving the No. 31 for Kaulig Racing, and Justin Haley rounds out the top ten in the No. 7 for Spire Motorsports. 

Alex Bowman starts 11th in the No. 48 for Hendrick Motorsports, with Josh Berry in the No. 4 for Stewart-Haas Racing in 12th. Chase Briscoe is in 13th with the No. 14 for Stewart-Haas Racing, followed by Ty Gibbs in the No. 54 for Joe Gibbs Racing in 14th. Carson Hocevar starts 15th for Spire Motorsports in the No. 77, while Noah Gragson starts 16th in the No. 10 for Stewart-Haas Racing.

Kyle Busch takes the 17th spot in the No. 8 for Richard Childress Racing, with Brad Keselowski in 18th in the No. 6 for RFK Racing. Zane Smith starts 19th in the No. 71 for Spire Motorsports, and Ryan Blaney is in 20th position in the No. 12 for Team Penske.

Further down the lineup, Chris Buescher starts 21st in the No. 17 for RFK Racing, and Ross Chastain takes 22nd in the No. 1 for Trackhouse Racing. Daniel Suarez is in 23rd with the No. 99 for Trackhouse Racing, followed by Michael McDowell in 24th in the No. 34 for Front Row Motorsports.
