The Italian Grand Prix 2024 is the second race after the 2024 summer break and will be held at the iconic track of Monza, which is also called as the Temple of Speed. Last time around it was Red Bull's Max Verstappen who won the Italian Grand Prix followed by his teammate Sergio Perez and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz.
The Dutch Grand Prix which was the first race after the summer break was won by McLaren's Lando Norris who defeated the reigning World Champion Max Verstappen by a whopping gap of 22 seconds. After winning the Dutch Grand Prix, Norris has 225 points to his name and is now 70 points behind Verstappen who is leading the Drivers' standings with 295 points. Charles Leclerc is third in the standings with 192 points. On the other hand, Lewis Hamilton is currently placed at sixth position 154 points.
Meanwhile, legendary Michael Schumacher and Hamilton have won the Italian Grand Prix 5 times which is the most by any driver in history. The Mercedes driver will have a chance to make it 6 but he will need an out of the world kind of performance to leave behind the Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull's top performers.
