The NASCAR star Kevin Harvick made an impressive return to racing as he claimed the fourth spot in the Star Nursery Classic Super Late Model race on Friday, 18th October at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

What did Kevin Harvick have to say after his return to racing?

After powering his Busch Light Chevrolet to a top-five finish, Harvick spoke to the reporters. He was all smiles as soon as the race ended.

"That got fun there at the end. That's a lot of race car. It's been a long time since I've had a real race car. It's fun to be able to spin the back tires when you push the pedal down," Harvick said.

Harvick managed to finish behind third-placed Jeremy Doss, runner-up Derek Thorn and the winner Kole Raz in the 125-lap race. On top of it, it was the first time the 48-year-old had raced at The Bullring since 1995.

On 19th October, Harvick spoke about the race on his X account. Former Stewart-Haas Racing driver thanked his partners for their wonderful job and teased a possible return to the series.

"P4 at the Bullring! Thanks to the [Rackley W.A.R.] guys and all of our great partners for making these races possible. Where to next?," Harvick added.

Kevin Harvick retired from full-time Cup Series competition after the 2-23 season, He then became a commentator for NASCAR on FOX. In the meantime, he even started his podcast 'Kevin Harvick's Happy Hour' which is telecasted on FOX.

Kevin Harvick drove Kyle Larson's HMS car

While Harvick hasn't been a part of racing since his retirement, he took part in a practice session in May this year. It was an effort to help prepare the No.5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet for the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Harvick was filling in for Kyle Larson, who was in Indianapolis preparing for the Indianapolis 500.

Some fans were excited and hoping that Harvick is returning from retirement but he silenced any rumours around it in an episode of the Happy Hour podcast.

"A lot of people don't understand how this sport works and the people who are inside this sport understand that there are a lot of things that people within different teams and organizations do for one another when they're in a jam. So Rick called and said, "Hey, I want you to drive the car(#5)." And I said, let me make a few phone calls. So I had to call my boss here at Fox. I had to call my wife," Harvick concluded.

Harvick ran the car for some laps before Larson took over the driving duties. The latter managed to finish fourth in the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
