Manu Bhaker failed to win a medal in 25m pistol event

Indian star Shooter Manu Bhaker created history by clinching two medals in the Paris Olympics 2024. She becomes the only Indian athlete to win two medals in a single edition of games. Her two bronze medals came in the 10m air pistol and 10m air pistol mixed team event partnering with Sarabjot Singh. However, she lost in the 25-meter pistol shooting event. In the final, she gave it all and maintained the number one position among seven other shooters for a long time, but she was unable to maintain her consistency and eventually finished fourth.

Indian Premier League franchise and India's Olympic gold medallist lavished praise on Bhaker as she ended her 2024 Olympic campaign after winning two medals.

“Manu, you have made the entire nation stand up and applaud your incredible achievement. Winning a third Olympic medal would have been an extraordinary feat, but what you’ve accomplished in Paris is truly monumental. Your journey stands as a testament to relentless hard work and dedication. At just 22, you’ve already established a remarkable legacy, and this is only the beginning. Congratulations on a historic campaign. @realmanubhaker” posted Abhinav Bindra.

“Marvellous Manu, you’re our beacon of inspiration!. Fell short of the podium in the Shooting 25m Pistol event by a whisker, but your spirit lights up the path for future generations” posted Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB),

Bhaker was seen emotional after missing her third medal in the marquee event. She revealed that she was nervous while competing in the 25-metre event.

"I got like really nervous about it, but again, I was trying my best to keep calm and to just try to do my best. But that was not enough," Manu said after the event.
