In an exclusive chat with Sports Tak, Neeraj revealed why he did not travel to Ayodhya to witness the historic event.

“This is a historic moment for our country. It is the result of the hard work and dedication of many people over a long period of time. Currently, I am in Switzerland because I had to consult a doctor. I am with friends and family and recovering here,” the 26-year-old said.

“If I had been in India, I would have definitely gone to Ayodhya. But I would like to say that when I come back to India, I will definitely go to Ayodhya and visit the temple. I will go there and visit with my entire family.”

On the other hand, legendary Indian batter Tendulkar described the ceremony as a source of pride for the entire country and its cultural heritage.
