Paris Olympics 2024: From Lakshya Sen to Manu Bhaker; India missed on these five medals by barest of margin

Five Indian athletes finished fourth in the Paris Olympics.India has won three medals in Paris Olympics so far.

The Paris Olympics started on July 26 and in the competitions held so far, the Indian athletes have been able to win only three bronze medals. While its five athletes won everyone's hearts with their stellar performance, they were definitely heartbroken by finishing fourth. In this episode, many athletes from Manu Bhaker to Lakshya Sen are included. If India had got more of these medals, then it would not have seen any problem in fulfilling its dream of more than 10 medals in this Olympics.
 

Manu Bhakar has so far won two bronze medals in shooting for India in the Paris Olympics. Manu won the bronze medal in the individual event of 10 meter pistol and after this along with Sarabjot Singh also won the bronze medal in the mixed team event of 10 meter pistol. After Manu, Swapinal Kusale from Maharashtra also won the bronze medal in the 50-meter rifle 3 position. However, after the final, many athletes came close to the medal but could not win.

Indian athletes who finished 4th in Paris Olympics

 

  • Arjun Babuta – Shooting (Men's 10m Air Rifle) 
  • Dheeraj Bommadevara & Ankita Bhakat - Archery (Mixed Team) 
  • Manu Bhaker - Shooting (Women's 25m Air Pistol) 
  • Anant Jeet Singh Naruka & Maheshwari Chauhan - Shooting (Skeet Mixed Team) 
  • Lakshya Sen – Badminton (Men's Singles)

 

Talking about India, a total team of 117 athletes has been sent for medals. In the 10 days of the Games, till now only three medals have come to India's bag. Apart from this, India has also suffered a big setback by not getting a single medal in archery and badminton. Now India's star athlete and golden boy Neeraj Chopra would like to get the gold medal for India again. Whereas crores of Indian fans will also expect medals from strong athletes like Mirabai Chanu and Vinesh Phogat.
