“We need everyone's support in this because it becomes really difficult for us to placate and persuade her when something or the other keeps on happening on the bigger stage. But yes, the entire family will sit with her and talk it out on her retirement decision. We want to see her win an Olympic medal, so lets see what happens now but will certainly have a word with her,” Harvinder told Sports Tak in an exclusive interaction.

Meanwhile, on challenging CAS' decision to dismiss Vinesh Phogat's silver medal appeal, Harvinder said:

“Though I haven't spoken to Vinesh on this matter, but yes they will challenge the verdict. We will see all that after her arrival in India, because the pain she has undergone after coming so close to gold me will persist for a while now. But fans' sympathy and love also mean a lot to her. She might have missed the gold medal but the love and support she has been receiving all this while will certainly motivate Vinesh a lot going forward.”

Harvinder Phogat also highlighted the enthusiasm of fans in welcoming Vinesh Phogat back to India, noting how this support significantly boosts the wrestler's confidence.

"Everyone is excited. The entire India is waiting for Vinesh to return. Everyone is excited and also a bit gutted, but everyone has arrived at the airport to show their support for Vinesh and make her feel better so that she can perform well in the future and gain some confidence. That feels really good," Harvinder added.

Vinesh Phogat had appealed for a shared silver medal after being disqualified from the Olympic final. The disqualification came after she was found to be 100 grams overweight, exceeding the 50 kg weight limit for the competition.
