The quartet of Sudipti Hajela, Divyakriti Singh, Hriday Chheda and Anush Agarwalla scripted history on September 26 (Tuesday) as they won India's first gold medal in Equestrian after 41 years at the Asian Games. The Indian quartet won the Team Dressage event with 209.205 points which took India's gold medal tally in the ongoing Asian Games to three.

While Sudipti Hajela was a member of the squad, only the leading three scores factored into the final tally. China followed closely, securing second place with 204.882 percentage points, and Hong Kong took the bronze at 204.852 points. This gold marks a significant milestone for India in equestrian, with the previous dressage medal, a bronze, dating back to the 1986 edition. Notably, India's last equestrian gold at the Asian Games was earned in 1982 in New Delhi.
