Asian Games 2023: Two medals in three days for Indian Equestrians as Anush Agarwalla wins Bronze in individual dressage event

India's third medal on Day 5, and 25th in total, was won by the Equestrians as Anush Agarwalla secured the Bronze medal behind Wing Ying of Hong Kong and Qabil Ambak of Malaysia on Thursday, September 28. Agarwalla scored 73.030 points, after helping India to the Gold in the team event. The other competitor Hriday Chheda was eliminated after an injury to his horse which caused him to get disqualified.

Bin Mahamad Fathil Mohd Qabil Ambak from Malaysia clinched the gold medal with a remarkable score of 75.780, while Jacqueline Wing Ying Siu from Hong Kong secured the silver with a score of 73.450.

Hriday Vipul Chheda, another competitor from India who had led the qualifiers on Wednesday, was unfortunately disqualified and did not participate in the medal round.

Previously, Agarwalla had collaborated with Chheda, Divyakriti Singh, and Sudipti Hajela to achieve the dressage team gold, a feat India hadn't accomplished in 41 years.
