With a timing of 7:08.79s, he slipped to fourth place, finishing just a tad over eight seconds behind the bronze medallist, Hin Chun Chiu of Hong Kong, who clocked 7:00.55s.
The men's single sculls event saw China's Liang Zang securing the top spot with a gold-winning time of 6:57.06. Japan's Ryuta Arakawa grabbed silver with 6:59.79, while Hin Chun Chiu rounded off the podium with bronze.
With these recent achievements, Indian rowers have now amassed an impressive haul of two silver and four bronze medals at the Asian Games.
